Today is a proper hot day here in Japan. It got me thinking about how British people love to complain about hot weather… well actually any weather to be honest.

It is basically a national hobby in the UK to talk about the weather and we have literally 100s of different ways to express what the weather is doing at any given point.

However, as it is summer, it is a good chance to focus on the heat help you understand some of the weird expressions, phrases, and slang words that we use in the UK when it gets hot!
